Sample at GABF 2009. Pours a golden yellow with thin white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, candy sugar, fresh fruit, light spice, honey. Flavor is about the same. Medium body with a pleasing sweet finish.

GABF 2009. Clear golden-orange color with a small white head. Aroma is light fruits, sweet pale malt, and spices. Flavor is pretty sweet with pale malt, apricot, peach, banana, clove, honey, and a little yeast. Good but nothing special. Body and carbonation are medium. A good but not great tripel.

On tap at the brewpub.
Pours a slightly cloudy amber with only wisps of head. Aroma shows bubblegum, a touch of clove, and a great big pile of candy-sugary-malt. Flavor starts with a big burst of rich sugary malt followed by a gentle but firm burst of grassy hops, yeasty goodness and some bubblegum and a hint of honey, Palate is thick and surprisingly tingly considering how flat and dead this beer looks.

10 oz. pour, on tap at the brewpub on 9-13-09. Aroma of candy sugars, peach, and a touch of honey. Clean and slightly dry smell. Subtle aroma. Pours a bright, clear, brass/gold. Effervescent: Bubbling up for a good while. Small amount of light beige / nearly white head. Tastes better than it smells or looks. Dry apricots / apricot skin. Surprisingly dry and grapefruit-hoppy. Long, dry aftertaste. Medium to full body. Lively, fresh, and a little oily in the palate. Tang on the tongue. Not bad, but not memorable.

Uninspiring clear orange with a powdery foam of white. Yeast heavy aroma of bubblegum, cloves, bananas, and caramelized pear; stinky hints of alcohol and a warming soup of olive oil and red pepper. Pleasant. Rich, smooth malt flavors with plenty of brown sugar, cookie dough and pastry crust. Yeasts are still dominant with the bubblegum and clove presence remaining bare and obvious. Some honey and spice toward the finish; firm and well balanced palate covers the alcohol presence with ease. Reasonably different and nice for the most part.

Nice gold color with ruin whisps of white head. Liight yeasty aroma without spice. Much more complex body with faint caramel and chocolate in tv malty body. Spicy mid palate with a dry yeasty finish that lingers nicely.
