unclemike (366), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Oct 6, 2008 Thick, firm, beige metallic-tasting head. Dark amber body. Fruity smell that is saying drink me. Taste of hops and easy drinkin’. Beer, like other Troegs, is kind of salty. Really easy to sit around and drink this fine example of an amber ale though.

Local pub just got this in. Brilliant dark copper color. Aroma mixed of hops and malt but not hop assertive as name would imply. Nice hop flavor evident but not much else. This was served way too cold. verymerrymonk (210), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 3, 2008 Pour is a clear amber body with a thin but lasting tan head. Some citrus with a really nice biscuit-like malt flavor. Nice balance - easy to drink. joeyplush (59), Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 30, 2008 Pours a dark amber color with a thick and creamy off-white head and excellent lacing. This beer has a fantastic combination of citrus and floral hops, balanced with caramel malt. The hops are heavy in the aroma and palate. The finish is strong and lingering, but not at all too bitter - very well balanced beer. Another impressive beer from the Troeg brothers. fiver29 (325), Strongsville, Ohio, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle pours a bold amber color with an off white head. Has an earthy, spicy, and malty aroma. Has a medium body. Flavor is bold malt upfront with a spicy and flowery finish. Overall, the aroma was not overwhelmingly good, the flavor was just ok, and this is an overall boring beer.
