| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Semi-hazy yellow pour, not much head. Aroma holds lots of zesty lemon hop character, along with some grain. Not a lot of depth to the nose, but impressive power for a pils. Flavor has a really nice hop aspect, with more lemon rind, dough, wheat, and earthiness. Palate is pretty solid for a pils as well. Impressive brew for the style. oteyj (745), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Thanks craftycarl21. Clear yellow pour with a minimal white head. Aroma is lemony hops, some subtle floral notes, sweet malt, and a slight grainy aspect. Hop character is high for the style. Some resinous bitterness, light sweet mat, and some earthy notes. Palate is full for the style with a mildly prickly and dry finish. Pretty tasty for the style. coyotehunter (546), , Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 24, 2009 Bottle thanks to Beerman6686. Pours a crystal clear sulfur color with a decent head. Smells mostly of lemon grass and grain. Tastes mostly the same. This would be really good on a hot hot day. riversideAK (2685), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2009 Bottle from LilBeerDoctor. Thanks! Grain, bread, straw, dust, lemon, grass, earth. Complex nose for a pils. Pours hazy light golden, nice head and lace. Bread, grass, and earthy peppery bitterness. Some underlying dust, sourdough, and some lemon. Clean, bright, crisp, and hoppy with good bitterness. Nice long finish. nickd717 (1334), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2009 Bottle from Jason’s in Ellicott City. For my money, this is every bit as good as Victory Prima Pils, maybe even a touch better. Pennsylvania owns pilsners. Pours a clear golden-yellow color lasting white head and great lacing. Aroma is malt, grain, and lots of grassy hops. Flavor is pale malt, lemon, grain, and lots of spicy/grassy German-style hops on the finish. Palate is dry, crisp , and light palate with nice lingering hop bitterness. Excellent for the style. KyotoLefty (1400), Kyoto, Japan
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Bottle. A fruity, hoppy pils with light malt character. Crisp and clean with good hop aroma and bitterness. Light but refreshing. Sonicdescent (377), Donora, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 22, 2009 Pours a clear yellow color with nice carbonation, but not much in the way of a head, even after a moderately aggressive pour. A crown at most.
Smells like a pilsner! I don’t get much on the lager side of the equation, so this is a whole new distinct set of smells I’m dealing with. A smell I associate with macros, but again because that is the vast majority of my lager experience. Zesty? Hoppy.
Tastes lemon zesty, smooth, surprisingly full bodied, carbonation at a nice level. Get some hop bitterness on the finish, but overall this remains a pleasant easy drinker, and likely going to become a go to for when I have people over. Might be nice to get a case of this to divert people from my cellar. phaleslu (469), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 22, 2009 Draft. Pours gold with a bit of haze and a large white head. Aroma of lemon, hops, yeast, malt. Flavor of hops, lemon, malt, grains, and mild spice. Very sweet, a little bitter and spicy, and dry on the finish. Very good for a pilsener but doesn’t stand out overall.
