The aroma is malty and sweet. Some fruitiness also. The flavor is very smooth, toasted malts, light fruit, something sweet like hazelnut perhaps the Pandan. A light mouthfeel, but lots of flavor. Easygoing and nice. A nice brew. nbutler11 (765), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Bottle brought back from WA. A vast improvement over the last Laughing Buddha beer I tasted. Pours dark brown with a trim oatmeal colored head. Brimming with the aroma of molasses and borwn sugar. Has a nice robust flavor profile that features caramel, toasted malts, barley, and hazelnut. Well balanced with a viscous Scotch Ale sort of mouthfeel. Solid. beerinmarch (2810), Washington, USA

Sweet nose of plum and chocolate. Sweet the whole way through, very fruity, almost like prune or raisin sweetness and soft caramel. killjoy966 (221), Washington, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Pours dark reddish brown with a very short lived beige head in a snifter. Smell is rich, creamy nutty malt and lightly coffee like. Very nice nose for a brown ale and very inviting. Taste is nutty, malty and not too sweet, but the sweetness is there at first and finishes dryer, and crisply with lightly prickly carbonation. Medium bodied. Lightly hazlenut like flavor and some light coffee. Fantastic brown ale and one of the better ones I’ve had for sure! Haslinger (649), Syracuse, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 7, 2008 bottle from kegbear, pours a deep, dark brown with a frothy white head. The aroma is definite brown sugar with a hint of caramel. The taste is very unique, it’s very dark tasting with a very different sugary taste. It’s interesting but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to buy again anders37 (4736), Malmö, Sweden
