Taste is sweet dark malts with a Pilsner -like bitterness to the hops. Pretty well balanced. Mouthfeel is good carbonation level alright. Slightly dry finish. Quite sessionable for a lager. Good value as well.

Aroma: Nose of cereal mostly, some honey, toasty malts, bread, lager yeast, a little earth
Appearance: it pours a clear medium-dark orange color with a thin white head and drops of lace
Flavor: Taste is mild, it begins with sweet caramel malts balanced by a light earthy hop bitterness
Palate: The body is pretty light, it has an average carbonation, and a somewhat crisp, dry finish
Overall Impression:
Overall, this makes for a decent Vienna, nothing overly exciting going on, but it is pretty true to style. It certainly isn’t the best thing I’ve ever had, but for a very inexpensive session beer that is true to style, I like it enough that I could see drinking it again. Certainly good enough for filling the cooler at a party or something of the like.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 23, 2009 it pours much clearer than my mind and a bronze color. The head disappeared before I could comment on it...in fact, i barely see anything left to talk about. Smells like caramelized apple and lager yeast. Clean flavors, super high carbonation...watered down caramel...a touch of apple...the finish was a crisp combination of lager yeast and faceless hops. I never drink beers this light, so it tastes rather invisible with essences of caramel and apple. That being said, its gaseous as a muthafucka and I’m burping up a storm. jfenglish (215), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Bottle. OK session beer- body is pretty light, a touch watery. Caramel color, no head. Flavor is bread, crackers. No hops or bitterness. A bit disappointed by this one...pretty bland, usually the TJ brews are pretty good- this one is sub-par. mansquito (839), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Pours quickly dissipating head, that leaves some lacing. Clear amber body. Sugary malt smell. Slightly sweet taste with notes of caramel. Bready malts. Well-balanced enough. Not bad for a TJ beer. daknole (3000), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Flavor is sweet up front with a tiny hit of hops towads the end. Flavor us dominated by caramel malt and bready notes. illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Bottle from Trader Joes. Pours a clear reddish amber with a dissipating off white head. Aroma of german malts and lager esters. Lighter side of medium bodied with average carbonation. Malty flavor of dark caramel, bread, and berry countered by a tamed European leafy bitterness. Could use a bit more complexity in the hop profile to countered the sweetness. Overall, it’s not that bad for a budget priced Vienna. drjay44 (809), Salida, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 12, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a thin short lived head over ans amber (SRM 8) body.....nose is lightly kilned malts with cereal and bread dominating, hints of toffee....taste starts with mild malty sweetness, then becomes dry as the hop come in, finish is neither hop or malt....mouth feel is medium, carbonation makes for a light sensation overall. This meets its Vienna appellation quite well as the malt backbone is more obvious than the hops. I wonder if this is identical to the Gorden Biersch Brewing Company Vienna which rates a 3.15. tedovertu (260), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 6, 2009 Decent beer for the price. Medium clear amber color. Small off white head. A decent balance of mold hops and malts. The malts over power the hops.
