750, pretty cheap $5 at Trader Joes. Pours dark brown with a 1 finger light brown/tan head. A little sweet and not so much malt in the nose. Decent, sweet, spicy taste. Not full bodied enough for me. Alright...

Aug 11, 2008 Pours a pitch black with a loose-bubbled tan head with poor retention, which reduces to a small ring of foam with some lacing. Aroma is fig and blackcurrant - very inviting! Tastes as expected, lots of blackcurrant in this with some fig & raisins. Very smooth with a lingering mild aftertaste. Delicate but sufficient carbonation, lightly creamy body. Better than trois pistoles, in my opinion. I really like this one - pity it’s not available in the country it’s brewed in!

Aug 9, 2008 Bottle traded to me by someone a long time ago. Deep brown pour with a lovely head. The aroma is intoxicating rich dough, straight out of the oven fermented bread, with a lightly spicy yeast present. I love that. The flavor highlights nice spice and dark fruitiness without ever being overbearing or tough to drink. Perfect level of carbonation, something that is usually way off in Dubbels. This was a wonderful beer.

Aug 9, 2008 Poured from large bottle a dark brown/black with an incredible amount of light and dark tan foam. Aromas of yeasty sweet bread with a light clove spice. Flavor has a sweet spiced fruit quality much like fig along with some licorice, clove, yeast, and light bread. Palate is sweet with spicy carbonation, malty fullness and a mild alcohol vapor ending. Overall a great concoction with flavors that blend well. It is slightly over-carbonated but something I can live with. I just wish I had bought more.

Aug 4, 2008 Updated: Aug 5, 2008[1313-20080419] 1pt9.4floz. Boozy aroma holds light hints of grape and fruity mint and bubbly mild juniper syrup. Dark brown black body with quick light tan bubbles. Dark fruity malt flavour has bits of roasted anise, mild mint leaf and lots of Cola syrup. Full body is bubbly but solid. Great balance of malt and spearmint and anise, but feels like drinking a boozy Coca-Cola.

Murky mahogany body that produces a thin, tan head.
spicy roast malt aroma that carries with it some licorice and cola.
Spritz and highly carbonated.
