Dec 14, 2009 12oz bottle scooped up from Trader Joes as part of a $5.99 6-pack of personally unrated beers. Caramel-amber appearance with a big, patchy head that fades out after a minute or two. Sweet and soapy fresh aroma. Medium bodied, pretty insipid stuff really. Mild dark malt tones, pretty watery with a lingering sweetness. Sessionable, but a pretty weak beer.

Dec 13, 2009 Pours a dark amber. Little head. Light lacing. The aroma is malty, slightly rough on the nose. The flavor is general malts and light hops. Nothing exciting. The after taste may be its only redeeming characteristic. So-So lager.

Appearance: Somewhat clear brownish color, some lace
Flavor: Taste is nutty malts and caramel, medium sweet
Palate: Light-medium body, somewhat short duration
Overall Impression:
Overall it is a decent beer, not great, but not as bad as one might have expected from the style attempt that they made here.

Dec 9, 2009 Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a decent caramel and roast malts. Flavor is roasty but overall watery. Probably equal to negra modelo and a whole lot cheaper.

Dec 1, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Trader Joes (Tucson) - Pours a clear mahogany color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is toasted malt and herbal hops. The malt is more pronounced in the flavor. Medium body. Not bad at all.

Nov 22, 2009 Updated: Nov 23, 2009Yay, I’m a ticker...drinking bad beer and writing about it online. How fulfilling. Pours a nice petrified amber with a surprisingly dense, creamy gray/tan head. Nose is musty lager yeast and corn, banana, and clove. Flavors are somewhat metallic with soft notes of nuts and lager yeast. Kind of phlegmy in the mouth...the light body couldn’t hold flavors together if there were flavors...which I guess there are, somewhat...but overall I get more lager yeast than anything else. It needs more body to be enjoyable. That being said, other than the phlegminess, its pretty clean and unoffensive.

Oct 2, 2009 Brown color with an off-white head that dissipates quickly to just a few bubbles adrift inside a ring of tiny bubbles. Heavy caramel, light sorghum, and touch of brazil nuts. Flavors of light molasses and dark chocolate. HInts of iron and peat. Very simple.
