Nicde pour, a clear amber body with lazy bubbling and a creamy, sustained off-white head. It had a sweet, worty nose and delivered a caramel flavor with a touch of mineral water. This is in desperate need of some hops, but oddly doesn’t get too cloyingly sweet. dkachur (2369), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Pours a reddish brown with a large head and nice lacing and retention. Very corny and slightly earthy aroma. Meh. Weird smoked malt taste reminiscent of ham. Very strange. Thin body. sfontain (506), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2008 Picked up to post for a ADL and for drinking with my wifes fajitas. Pours attractive garnet brown with a quickly dissipating off white head. The nose is malt sweetness and brown sugar. The flavor is about the same with the addition of some roasted malt and dried fruit. A bit sharp on the palate. Clean finish. Surprised to see everyone pissing on this beer so much. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2008 In bottle from Trader Joe’s. Appearance is a disturbingly transparent brown color. Cream head. Aroma is of lemons and caramel malt. Tastes more roasted than expected with molasses sweetness. Much more flavor than appearance would indicate. phishpond417 (1946), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Mouthfeel is relatively light, as mentioned before, it is pretty bland but i can see this being refreshing under the hot mexican sun. Taste is a little nutty, with a hint of nugget and almonds. finishes watery. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
