Pours attractive garnet brown with a quickly dissipating off white head. The nose is malt sweetness and brown sugar. The flavor is about the same with the addition of some roasted malt and dried fruit. A bit sharp on the palate. Clean finish. Surprised to see everyone pissing on this beer so much. Cream head. Aroma is of lemons and caramel malt. Tastes more roasted than expected with molasses sweetness. Much more flavor than appearance would indicate. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Mouthfeel is relatively light, as mentioned before, it is pretty bland but i can see this being refreshing under the hot mexican sun. Taste is a little nutty, with a hint of nugget and almonds. finishes watery. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 16, 2008 Bottle, no date. Clear amber, big head but doesn’t last that long. Scent is sweet malts and some hops. It’s fairly light and fizzy. What I like best is a roasted flavor that comes through at the end. What I dislike is the paucity of hops, and some off flavors when it warms. Still pretty good.
