Trader José Premium Lager

Yellow pour. Corn. Corn aroma. Corn flavor. Stank. Really stank. I couldn’t take more than a few sips to rate it.

Clear golden color with a thin white head. Light malt aroma with a hint of citrus. Smooth, crisp taste. Better then corona for sure. Light finish. Pretty decent beer for a nice, summer day.

Clear bottle. Pours yellow with a one finger white head that leaves decent lacing. The nose is malt, sweet corn and grass. The taste is grain, honey and grassy hops. Medium mouthfeel. Not any worse than the rest of them, but not very good.

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s in Richmond/Short Pump, VA. Pours a clear pale yellow color. This beer reeks very strongly of skunk. Hard to detect under the skunk but there are some notes of sweet grain and corn under there. Taste is sweet creamed corn, grain and light cool whip. Fairly fizzy and thin bodied.

Thanks to the spouse for finding this one for me, I’m not the easiest person to find a new beer for sometimes. Clear yellow, fizzy bubbles. Sweet corn accented grainy aroma. Flavor matched, with a slight berry note on the finish. Pretty lousy, but it wasn’t totally wretched.

Bottle from Trader Joes - Short Pump on 04/11/2009. Clear pale golden body with a large frothy white head. Sweet grain and honey aroma. Sweet corn honey and grain flavor. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.

clear gold with a decent amount of lacing under a medium sized foamy white head. sweet, corny, metallic, malty aroma with a touch of grassy hops. flavor is pretty non existent with some sweet grainy malt. palate is light and sharply carbonated. 3.8?

Expecting something less than greatness, I did a single clear bottle purchase from the Trader Joe in Orland Park, IL. It looked like urine in the bottle and poured a deep yellow with a short-lived fizzy head. The aroma was skunky and had a bitter grassiness. It tasted of generic malt and corn syrup with a mild bitterness. The finish was slightly tinny. Yup. Something less than greatness.
