MrManning (1448), London, Ontario, Canada Mar 24, 2008 Bottle- Deep red/pinkish colour with a tiny white head. Grainy fruit forward aroma of faux cherry and perhaps strawberry with some malts to boot. Sweet fake cherry flavour profile with muted malts and bready, grainy nuances. Quite sweet with most flavours muted or hidden. Not really my gig. Thanks David! robinvboyer (1052), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Jun 12, 2007 at c’est what? spring beer night. This is a fruit beer? i dont taste any fruit at all. seriosuly, nothing.........tastes like your run of the mill beer, with a VERY slight cherry aroma, that is quite artifiicial i might add. meh. mabel (1662), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 28, 2007 [167-20061230] 200mL. Smells like maple sugar soaked in grainy bread. Clear, brown red body with almost no white head and lots of medium-sized floaties. Hint of cherry malt in flavour but mainly the same watered down whole grain bread, slightly toasted. Light body, seems like it should be medium. Nicely blended but nothing too special. piscator34 (938), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Feb 27, 2007 Bottled sample via GregClow. Dark red in colour with medium to low carbonation. Aromas of caramel, a bit of chocolate, and even less cherry cough syrup. Very sweet in the mouth with more caramel and hard cherry candy flavors. Heavy in the mouth, but not in a good way at all. A failed experiment, I’m assuming. GregClow (2350), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 13, 2007 Bottle from the brewery. Ruby-brown with a few floaties and no head. Aroma of malt, a bit of tobacco, and a faint hint of cherry. Soft body, very little carbonation. Mild flavour with very faint cherry under the sweet, slightly earthy malt. A bit more cherry in the finish as it warms, giving it a vaguely medicinal tinge. It’s not awful, but the cherry (what little there is) doesn’t seem to serve much purpose.
