Dark brown colour with small amount of head. Malted aroma that is somewhat weak. Falvour is malty sweet. Body is pretty weak though. Only the bones and no meat.

Amber brown in colour with a thin quick to dissipate white head, no lacing. The aroma is quite, grainy, caramel and some chocolate. The flavour is sweet and sugary, thin, some light caramel malts. Thin sweet mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes thin, fairly quick.

Another forgettable beer from Trafalgar, why do I keep getting sucked into buying these?

650ml bottle purchased at the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario.

Opened on October 4, 2009.

Best before January 2010.

With thanks to HogTownHarry, shared with Blankboy and I. Appearance: Kind of a flat cola colour, no head. Aroma: Burnt corn, sugar, malt, some cardboard. Flavour: Slight malt, some corn and a dry bitter finish. Meh.

Bottle ( 650ml ). Shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Flat-looking clear red-amber pour, pretty much no head. Sweet, slightly vegetal aroma, table syrup with light spice and maybe a hint of smoke. Taste is pretty much bland - sweet and mild smoke, some dry floral bitterness, not much alcohol - thin, still mouthfeel, slightly astringent, quick-finishing - boring.

This Ale poured a deep brown colour with next to no head. To the nose there are scents of ripe fruit, sweet brown malts and nuts. Firts taste was quite watery. Flavours of malt and next to no hopp at all. Smooth but lacking in solid flavour. Finish has a little bit of hopp bitterness but not much. This isn’t a bad beer but its kind of lifless.

Bottle from the LCBO. I get the feeling this review is going to read like a mash-up of the previous ones, as I can’t add much new to what everyone else has said. Clear ruby-brown colour, very still body with no head. Very mild aroma, some decent sweet malt with hints of graham cracker. Thin, lifeless body with very minimal carbonation. Flavour is not unpleasant, but also pretty one-dimensional - mild malt and brown sugar, perhaps a hint of coffee, quick finish with a faint wisp of hops. As tupalev suggests, it comes across as a mediocre homebrew. Meh.

Bottle, LCBO. At least it is not infected, always a bonus when buying Trafalgar beers! Standard orange pour, little head. Sweet aroma. Taste is just a standard homebrew sweet Ontario English ale sort of thing. Not offensive, kind of thin, neither here nor there. Drinkable, photoshop label, not sure what else needs to be said.

Bottle: Poured a deep clear brown color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of unrefined and stale grain is not very enticing. Taste is also dominated by stale grain with some light residual sugar. Noe ester or hops presence could be identified. Body is about average with medium carbonation. No brewing flaws per say but just an incredibly bad brown ale.
