Commercial Description:
No colouring agents or artificial additives are used in this ancient Lett family recipe. The robust amber colour comes from the judicial use of crystal and carastan malts. Remember the ancient brewery credo, "We only sell what we can't drink ourselves."

12Oz bottle, amber brown colour, practically no head.Slight malt aroma with some chemical intrusion there too. Flavour - grassy, chemicals, a hint of dark fruit, odd beer

341 ml bottle. poured amber brown with small white head. aromas of caramel, brown sugar, all malty goodness. flavours are malty but toned down to make this brew very drinkable. awesome at 26.40 a case from the beer store.

Eye-pleasing chestnut appearance. Deep, dark aromas of heavy chocolate malt and molasses. Not as full-flavoured as expected, which actually plays to this beer’s advantage. Layers of chocolate, coffee and molasses are tastefully restrained, creating a beer that can either be quaffed or sipped, depending on the mood. A well-balanced brew.
