Nice and sweet flavors of malt and caramel. A nice enjoyable beer, more malty than hoppy. Sammy (3981), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 11, 2004 Orangey red with a short soapy tan head. Modest lacing. Toasty malted aroma. Toffee mild burnt hoppy bitterness. Cookie, and bread crust. Some sour notes. Watery finish. Decent. Rastacouere (5553), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 6, 2003 Appearance is a clear dark amber with minimal off-white head. Aroma is too mild to be taken seriously, lazy teenager hops. In mouth, there's a water character which doesn't quite help it, hops are shy. An effort can be perceived where a hint is directed toward nuts. It lacks presence and character, period. MartinT (5052), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Reminds me a lot of something else, but I am not sure what.. A hint of the roasty taste of Murphy's disappears after you swallow it...Better than I expected (I was told it was like Kilkenny, which its not... I dont think.)
