Nekronos (2243), Xalapa, Mexico May 16, 2007 A little boring after a while, but it has a delicious taste and awesome raspbwerry mermelade aroma. beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 5, 2004 Pours with almost no head and a red color. Complex aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Nice and sweet flavors of malt and caramel. A nice enjoyable beer, more malty than hoppy. JohnBarleycorn (390), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 16, 2007 Eye-pleasing chestnut appearance. Deep, dark aromas of heavy chocolate malt and molasses. Not as full-flavoured as expected, which actually plays to this beer’s advantage. Layers of chocolate, coffee and molasses are tastefully restrained, creating a beer that can either be quaffed or sipped, depending on the mood. A well-balanced brew. Crit (2399), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jan 7, 2003 Reddish brown, lasting tan head.Tiny bead. Pleasant malt nose.Creamy lightly toasted malt flavor. Good Belgian lace. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Oct 26, 2004 650 ml bomber. Amber colour, thick lasting off-white head. Aroma is very dusty and musty with a hint of maltiness. Flavour shows butterscotch, berry fruitiness. No bitterness and a bit too sweet. Ok, but not great. mrkimchee (1414), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 24, 2002 pours reddish brown with a big off white head. toffe aroma with a hint os hops. malty sweet, hints of nuts. decent hoppy finish. not bad. wnp22 (682), Toronto (Roncesvalles Village), Ontario, Canada Sep 6, 2003 Tasted in Toronto from the LCBO - bottle 650ml.
