Commercial Description:
No colouring agents or artificial additives are used in this ancient Lett family recipe. The robust amber colour comes from the judicial use of crystal and carastan malts. Remember the ancient brewery credo, "We only sell what we can't drink ourselves."

Tasted in Toronto from the LCBO - bottle 650ml. Deep brown / red colour, foamy white head. Sweet and slightly citrus/spice like aroma. Taste of roasted sweet caramel with a subtle buttery after finish.

Orangey red with a short soapy tan head. Modest lacing. Toasty malted aroma. Toffee mild burnt hoppy bitterness. Cookie, and bread crust. Some sour notes. Watery finish. Decent.

a new favorite! surprisingly refreshing with a slight tang to it’s flavor. pours a cloudy medium amber colour with a light head that dissipates quickly along with it’s carbonation. has a bit of a pucker factor and a pleasing finish. hints of fruit, perhaps apricot?

341 ml bottle. poured amber brown with small white head. aromas of caramel, brown sugar, all malty goodness. flavours are malty but toned down to make this brew very drinkable. awesome at 26.40 a case from the beer store.

473 ml can from OCB Discovery Pack #3. Pours a clear brownish gold with small white head. Caramel and some light hoppiness in the nose. Taste is largely caramel with a mild citrus hoppy finish. Nothing terrible about this but nothing to get too fired up about.

Sweet molasses aroma, copper, small head. Tastes nutty, with good bitterness. Good ale, almost like it’s on tap!

Bought at a London Ontario LCBO, just before local municipal elections in Ontario. 650ml bottle, 5% a/v Very dark ruby colour with an offwhite head which dies off fast. Smells malty and sort of soapy with caramel tints. The taste is malty as expected, and definetly a caramel/brown sugar explosion. Aftertaste is much of the same. The beer goes down well except for a faint chemical note. Not bad, and i wish all voting involved beers. ** Paddys Irish Red, just a diffrent name **

(Rating #2465)
