robinvboyer (980), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Mar 2, 2007 very much like wine, but so sweet.
It was decent quite cold cause it cut the sweetness a biut, but as it warmed up it became so sweet it was undrinkable Cartoon_khaki (1110), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Jan 29, 2006 Grape juce look... aroma of berries and sweetness. Flavour is very wine like, with a dryness and a sour tartness. Weak bodied. jerc (3102), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2005 Headless grape Kool-Aid body. Smells of Welche’s grape juice, quite tart. Flavour is similarly tart with underlying alcohol. Quite dry but with sweetish grape and random berry fruit flavours. Average saccharine palate, bordering on thin. Not entirely unpleasant but not what I was in the mood for either. HogTownHarry (3175), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Aug 20, 2005 Bottle (750ml). Sampled at BeerBistro - 2005 GTA Golden Tap Awards. Hazy dark red wine-looking with a week pink head. Smelled like a jar of "all berries" jam mixed with a wine cooler and a squeeze of lemon. Tasted strongly of anonymous alcohol and concentrated mixed berry-fruit drink - the huge sugar hit is tempered a little by some tartness (I guess there’s real fruit in there), but still pretty tough to take. Who would drink 750ml of this stuff? A family of drunken hummingbirds? Sticky and carbonated mouthfeel. Didn’t like it - too strong and artificial overall. tupalev (2285), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 8, 2005 TFOB sample. This is a mead? Ok.....Dark red pour. Very sweet aroma, the best part of the drink. Mouth puckering sweetness, terribly unbalanced and pretty artificial. Strong, tart and very carbonated - alcopop all the way. I’ve had a couple of decent meads, but this surely isn’t one of them.
