drfabulous (713), Columbia, Missouri, USA Nov 2, 2007 More memories. Like other Traffic Jam beers, it was ok when I was there. When I think back, I remember that their styles get close. The whitbier is fine. But not great. ClarkVV (3547), Allston, Massachusetts, USA Apr 20, 2007 Draught pint at the brewpub on 4/6/07 No head to speak of on any of their beers. Cloudy white golden body has sparse carbonation. Interesting nose contains a fair enough portion of citrus acid, but it’s not sweet at all. Like fresh cilantro almost, though with some sweet maltiness lightly adding a chewy honey-like character. Actually has enough carbonation and moderately tight at that. Some bubble gum, tangerine-like notes and bland wheat hang on the end. Medium strength, no alcohol or flaws. The weird part is that this is all yeast driven. Hmmm, no kidding? I actually read that, after smelling the nose, and I have to hold to the fact that it smells like this has got coriander and lemon peel or curacao added. Wow. No spices added at all. Probably one of the more beautiful yeasts I’ve ever seen in any Belgian wit. I wish I would have asked what it was. Soft, soft bubble gum and almost a heather and orange blossom flavor that is soaked in light yeast acids. Dry, but not too attenuated malts are wheaty (moderately crisp twanginess) and show a graininess from the base malts. Really nice, wow. I could easily see how the acids could throw people off, but a real belgian wit should have some wild acidity. If they improved their mouthfeel, by adding a creamy, tight carbonation, we’d be talking mid-high Fours. Precept53 (113), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA Apr 11, 2007 Not one of their best...overly citrus taste almost orange juice like, with overly citrus aroma, nice appearance and head though kidwiththehair (43), Detroit, Michigan, USA Nov 24, 2006 This one pretty much sucked. Very misleading however. Nice citrus armoa, opaque white head, and nice pale-orange clear pour. Then you drink it and all is lost. This one is almost hard to finish due to how sour it is. Not like any other belgian beer I’ve ever had.
