2 years old. Still quite sweet. Interplay of caramel notes, strong dark malt and very delicate "Scottish" smokeness. The aftertaste is so beautifully long and mellow (you naturally feel how the beer is running through your "pipes").

12 oz. bottle - thanks to RCL for the trade; clear, dark brown; killer nose with caramel, rich malt, cookies, dank fruit; almost like red wine too; thin to medium body; alcohol well hidden; sugary, rich flavors and mildly sticky; has a sherry-like quality too it; very, very nice

11.2 oz bottle: Thin, short lived light beige head on a hazy, mohogany body. Aromas of toasty malt, toffee, sherry, light tomatoey notes, moderate date notes, lightly roasty, and a hint of raisiny fruit along with woody and alcohol aromas. Flavor is caramel, raisins, toffee, toasty malt, and alcohol. Aftertaste is medium dry, but starts sweet up front. Malty flavor for sure throughout. Fuller body, low CO2, warming alcohol. A really nice beer. It’s been a while since I’ve had a Traquair of any sort, but from what I remember, this is a pretty good one!
