Smelled sweet, like a bourban. Color is a dark brown, not much of a head. No lacing. Malt is the main flavor. Also some brown sugar. A little watery to be honest. Over all a good beer.

Bottle @ Craig´s, november 07. Strong, perfumey, coriander aroma with spicy notes. Sweet, coriander, citric flavor with some rummy notes. Medium mouthfeel, some flowery/ spicy notes plus some caramel touches with a well rounded finish. Clear, beatifull ruby color with some orange hues and a white rim around the beer. Nice, dark trippel-like ale.

Sampled at Cellar’s WIne & Spirits weekly beer tasting in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear dark cola brown brew with a fast dissolving beige head that dissipates to a fine film ring. Aroma of roasted dark malt, some tropical fruit, brown sugar, and coriander. Taste is medium bodied, with roasted malt, coriander, and brown sugar flavors. Finish is semi-sweet, with a herbal spice and chocolate aftertaste. Good balance of alcohol and flavor.

Dark brown with thin brown head. Spicy roasted malts are the first thing to strike you before the smell warms you with the aroma of alcohol. Very low carbonation and smooth mouth feel. Almost a molasses rum kind of taste. A very long lasting spicy taste. Also in the taste are bread, choc. and roasted malts. Quite unusual.

Bottle, pours dark brown... aroma is a malty chocolaty mix. Some hops on the back end, but mostly this is a creamy, sweet beer, that doesn’t come across TOO sweet. Chocolaty flavors throughout, with very little roasty flavor I can tell... a true mix-up of a beer that works wonders.

Best before June 2014. Pours a dark rootbeer brown, though not toooo dark. With a decent offwhite head. Rather fruity! A bit of that Orval-like sweet tropical fruit thing. A good dose of darker malt, though, not roast. Some lemon, coriander and maybe a hint of wheat. Rather sweet, but not overwhelming. Quite a complex nose, I must say. a smoth creamy body with a bit of that diacetyl butteriness. Rather sweet, but even more so it’s very fruity. A good dose of toast. A shot of that coriander spice. I still think this resembles Orval in terms of the yeasty sorts of flavors. I have to believe there is brett in here. A hint of caramelly chocolate. Some alcohol, for sure. This beer is such a hodgepodge, I can’t believe it actually mostly works. I may grab a bottle to sit on for a while, this could open up nicely.

Pours dark brown almost opaque and bubbles thick like a stout. The head has big bubbles and is tan in color. It settles down to 1 inch and lasts. The aroma is very strong of brown sugar malt. The aroma also reeks a bit of alcohol. The flavor is complex and very strong of malt, yeast, and corriander. It has a thick mouthfeel and is a meal of a beer. Very, very sweet beer, like a pop.

Dark brown with a loose head. The aroma has notes of yeast, malt and port wine. The flavour is full, round and complex. It has notes of roasted malt, fruit, caramel and weak hints of spice and licorice. An exciting and very tasty beer.
