| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2007 Pours a nice head that dissapates right away and leaves a strong lacing with a thin layer of head that later dissapears with the lacing leaving nothing. It’s scent is very light and a little sweet. Smells lightly of a fruity complex that is coupled with a slightly bitter, but more mellow hoppy flavor. It’s a bit nutty, and it goes well with mellow hops and fruityness. I noticed at the end of this beer there’s a slight coffee undertone that finishes nicely. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 11, 2007 12oz bottle from Ron’s in Farmington. Translucent brown-copper body with virtually no off-white head that dissipates quickly. Fruit/berries seem to dominate the aroma, with chocolate and caramel malts playing a big roll too. Tastes fruity too, prodominantly, with a roasty chocolate/caramel malt presence and some peatiness present too. Medium bodied with only a moderate amount of carbonation help to make this a pretty drinkable wee-heavy. Definitely unique, and unlike any other example of the style I’ve encountered. Very good - definitely picking this one up again if I can find it. coldbrewky (736), Saugerties, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2007 Bottle: Pours a deeper brown with a tannish head. Nose is of grape lolly pops candi sugar. I dont sense any corriander maybe some nutmeg and orange peel. Cardamom on the fringe. Slim rings of lace. After sugary introduction the medium maltiness is dicernable. A smooth mellow finish. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Dec 2, 2007 Pours dark brown with no head. This beer has coriander written all over it. The aroma the flavor all say coriander. There is some malt in there to help balance the spice but not a whole lot. Body is full, alcohol is unapparent. I’m glad I tried it because it is so different... but I wouldn’t order it again. Slayer85 (588), Firenze, Italy
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 2, 2007 Bottled. An unclear dark brown beer with a very nice small brown head. Very interesting nose with coriander, chocolate and other spices. The flavour is malty and spicy with notes of coriander and chocolate again plus some molasses and roasted malt. Medium body, average carbonation, medium bitterness in a finish that’s quite long. The alcohol is well hidden, so this beer is very complex and flavourful and yet drinkable. Unusual British beer (but maybe unusual in general), some flavours remember a Belgian beer. I want another one. exadore (92), Sacramento, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 23, 2007 Bottle. Poured a very dark ruby brown color with a half finger of head. Smells as interesting as it tastes. Very malty, sweet smell, powerful hints of corriander. Unlike anything I’ve ever had. I’ve had this before but didnt like it as much as I did this last time. Very interesting flavors when paired with pepperjack cheese and crackers.
