Aroma is very complex: toasted/toffee malt, liquorice, tea, golden syrup, some vague woodyness and spices (cinnamon, ginger?).
Flavours of toasted malt, more spices, alcohol. More woody notes. Pretty sweet, but countered by a subtle roasted coffee bitterness. Very tasty!
Slick velvety mouthfeel with creamy carbonation, some alcohol heat on the palate.

Jun 3, 2009 Pours a cloudy dark brown with a thick creamy head that disappears quickly. Aroma is of promised coriander, toffee, apricot, and fruitcake. Flavor is very close to the aroma, booze becomes more apparent as I sip on. There’s a candy essence that can’t be ignored. Palate is a little watery, little carbonation. Not a bad one to try. Overall, good.

Jun 2, 2009 This beer pours dark brown and shows hints of red when held up to the light, looks a lot like a glass of coke, there was almost no head except for a skiff of bubbles floating near the edges of the glass. The beer smells of coffee and spice with just a touch of alcohol. The beer is very tasty sweet berries and spice with some well balanced hops and malts giving the beer some good bitterness. Very tasty beer, very enjoyable me thinks I like it.

Jun 1, 2009 Looks like light grade motor oil...light brown with a deep tan head. Man, I could swear that all of these things found their way to my nose: chocolate, corriander, aromatic malts, sweet spiciness and dates. Excellent flavours of spices, dates and corriander (although weak) and floral hops?? Goes down very smooth and soft - highly drinkable. A harsh spicy burn and well balanced hops finish you off. All around a very complex and easy drinking brew.

May 31, 2009 Bottle. Tre Små Rum. Gothenburg. Brown colour with a small head. Aroma: Malt, spices, meat, strong wine, swedish snuff. Taste: Malty and spicy, notes of chocolate, earth, swedish glögg, dark fruit. Light bitterness. Light carbonation.

May 23, 2009 0.33 l bottle from Alko. Dark reddish brown color with small head. Rich toffeish, caramelly, toasty and resiny aroma with pine, wood and warming alcohol. Malty, toffeish, toasty, peppery, resiny and warming flavor. Soft oily palate. Rich malty ale with nice warming character.

May 20, 2009 With great thanks to HogTownHarry. Appearance: Murky brown with a small brown head. Aroma: Chocolate, malt, alcohol. lots of spices, pepper and a very chocolate prominence as it warms. Flavour: Malt, smoke, peat and hops, lots of wood and earth notes, quite well balanced, I suspect Harry had been ageing this!

May 17, 2009 Bottle. Deep amber coloured with a small beige head. Aromas of molasses, spice, dried fruit and malt. Sweet and malty flavour with notes of coriander, dark fruit, caramel and hops.
