O - very pleasant sar50 (9), , Rhode Island, USA does not count Jan 7, 2009 Dark brown with a minimal head a nd little lacing, not surprising with 8% alcohol, though.
Fruity and malty nose with some hint of spice.
Taste is earthy with dark malts and fruit. The corriander is noticeable, but not overpowering.
Smooth mouthfeel with light carbonation. Slight alcohol burn, but is pleasant and balances well with the overall beer. scrizzz (579), kirkland, Washington, USA Jan 7, 2009 Spiced aroma reminds me of mulling spices, pinecones and coffee. Very dark clear brown, faint ring of a head in the glass. Delicately complex, lots of dried wood, some orange peel. Low carbonation, smooth elegant mouthfeel, only a hint of the alcohol comes through. daknole (1294), Plantation, Florida, USA Jan 4, 2009 bottle. Brown pour. small head. Aroma is spicy, malty and has some notes of dark dried fruits. Flavor is a bit sweet, with wood, raisins, booze, caramel and spices. Nice. Very nice. bobinlondon (492), Harrow, Greater London, England Jan 2, 2009 Bottle 330ml. Poured a clear brown color with a small off-white head that diminished quickly. Good aroma of coriander, raisin and malt. Medium body with smooth texture. Good fruity bitter sweet flavor with long pleasing finish. Interesting brew.
