Malty and metallic aroma with some very slight sour fruit. More metallic notes in the flavour. A big let down considering the quality usually associated with this brewery. Given a little while to open up after pouring it gives up some caramel and tobacco and the metallic note has all but gone. So so at best. Magicdave6 (5558), London, Greater London, England

Aroma is minimal due to sparkler, however toffee and grassy hops, spice later. Taste is a tad watery, toffee, honey spice, bittering hops. A tasty wee ale indeed. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Slightly sweetish malty nutty caramel flavor with some earthy hoppy hints. The flavour is the trouble - thin malts, watery with a chalky, not bitter, finish. Give me the House Ale!
