Sampled cask conditioned at GBBF.
Copper coloured. Grassy hop aroma. Malty and rather sweet. Low bitterness. More conventional than most their other brews.

Dark amber; complex, layered maltiness, like rye bread crusts.

A Mes rate: Cask at the White Horse.
Ruby amber colour with an oily film. Malty and metallic aroma with some very slight sour fruit. More metallic notes in the flavour. A big let down considering the quality usually associated with this brewery. Given a little while to open up after pouring it gives up some caramel and tobacco and the metallic note has all but gone. So so at best.

Guildford Arms. Aroma is minimal due to sparkler, however toffee and grassy hops, spice later. Taste is a tad watery, toffee, honey spice, bittering hops. A tasty wee ale indeed.

[Cask conditioned] Nice mild and malty flavour. It seems very Scottish. It has some interesting notes of ketchup as well.

Cask @ White Horse, Parsons Green SW6. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Slightly sweetish malty nutty caramel flavor with some earthy hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty nutty caramel finish.

Ah, the might Traquair house. Shame this is a let down. Aromas are light grain and some spice. The flavour is the trouble - thin malts, watery with a chalky, not bitter, finish. Give me the House Ale!
