Commercial Description:
Clutch hitting in the post-season - that’s what gave Reggie Jackson the nickname "Mr. October." Well, it’s the post-season-with-the-most-reason to pick up a brew: Oktoberfest! And this clutch hitter combines the heavy hitting of an Oktoberfest beer with the soft touch of a British pub ale. If there’s such a thing as English Marzen, this is it, and we dig it. Something a little different for the post-season. Malts: Pale Ale, Crystal, Wheat, Light Munich Hops: Saaz, Glacier IBU:36

12oz bottle pours a transparent, copper orange with a creamy, lacing, slightly beige head. Aroma of noble hops, slightly metallic, sweet, doughy, crackers, whole grain bread. Flavor is a little vegetal, wet leaves, whole grain bread, a little doughy, some sweetness. Something in the flavor is just a bit off. Finish is just a little dry.

Aroma - basic malt, hint of bitterness; Appearance - brown, thin though fluffy head, great lacing; Taste - somewhat sweet malt front, faintly bitter back, mild finish; Palate - crisp, decent body; Overall - good brew though nothing really stands out, heavy crispness appears to mask some flavor.

Stale crystal malt nose. Musty cracker malt backbone. Dry and bready with some light spice crispness.

Bottle from BOM club. Pours a bronze color with minimal head. Smells of toasted malt, spice, and maybe hay?? Very subdued. Caramel and malt flavor are almost overtaken by bitter hops. Not a very good aftertaste. Ehhh.

Bottle from Cavie. Light brown pour with an off white head. Light malt and caramel aroma. Lots of roasted flavor, nuts, and something weird.

12 oz bottle from the beer of the month club - Not a bad beer, but extremely forgetable. The most memorable thing about it is the baseball player wearing the revolutionary hat on the label.

Clear orangeish red pour. Heavy red buttery aroma. Mainly largely relying on the malts for aroma. Taste is dry bitter. Very dry and very bitter. Some feeling of harshness. Ouch.

A solid session beer. Goes well with various foods. Has some fruit and pine in the nose, flavors of malts with a nice bitter finish. Body is a bit too thin.
