The aroma is nothing special with paper, malt, dust, and grassy hops. The appearance is light amber with a two finger head. The flavor is like the aroma with a bitter sweet finish. The palate is typical for the style. Overall a pretty average beer.

The aroma is heavy ringwood yeast. Pale malts, flowery hop. Nice toffee/caramel backbone. The thick honey-colored, beautiful lacing. More heavy ringwood flavor. English pale malts. More of a flowery hop too. Bready, dry feel; somewhat fizzy. A solid, bready yeast-laden IPA. Very English with a fizzy hop.

Tastes and smells almost identical to the IPA with some extra grassiness. Not all that exciting.

Pours a three finger off-white head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Crystal clear amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Slight hoppy nose. Flavor has hints of caramel, with some hops. Mellower than the Tremont Freedom Trail India Pale Ale. Slight bitter aftertaste. $1.85 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, MA. Best before Sep 2009.

"Hey! Looky here" I said as I pushed the cart down the chilled aisle at the local Hannafords. I’ll grab a sixer of this...I’ve never heard of it......Upon closer inspection it is a cleverly disguised Shipyard product. A brownish amber with a fizzy head. Thin caramel and some twingy hops. Buttery finish. Blah.
