A rich warming winter ale, reddish in colour with a slightly sweet finish and robust late hop.

Cask at Oakdale Arms Beer Festival, February 2005. Cloudy and towards the end of the barrel (hence a freebie). Deepish brown/red colour. Not much in the way of aroma. A bit yeasty. Plummy fruit and chewy toffee. I wonder whether this would have showed better if it was fresher.

On tap at the Oakdale Arms Beer Fest, Feb. 21 2005. Nice red copper ale with a nice lacing off-white head. Smooth caramel aroma with vanilla drops. Light brown ale with a discreet nuttyness. Lighter than expected yet interesting.

Oakdale Arms Beer Festival. End of barrel - but very nice. Burnt notes. Some twiggy hops. An old ale style, leaning towards sweet toffee.

Cask, Oakdale Arms BF: Touch of berry in the aroma. Amber in colour. Mild malty caramel flavour with some fruity notes. Medmium bodied. Not Bad!
