Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Merchants Inn, Rugby. A golden coloured beer blighted by diacetyl throughout. Toffee notes and sweet malts and no discernible hop. Disappointing.

does not count  Jun 10, 2008 This is a delicious ale which "punches above its weight". The ABV of 3.6 belies its full flavour. The Cascade hops give it a lovely refreshing flavour.
It is regularly available at The Rose And Crown Hawridge where it is always in perfect condition.

May 14, 2008 Cask, The Nut Tree, Murcott. Had this two days after Fin, but maybe a new cask? I think it was in better shape when I had it. Bright copper-gold, small persistant white head. Nice bright fruit aroma: peaches berries, plums. A lttle caramel. Light plum flavor and peach pit tartness, soft malt sweetness with a lovely lingering dry toast. Simple, lovely beer that I enjoyed enough to stick with for the rest of the evening.

May 4, 2008 Cask at the Nut Tree, Murcott, Oxon 03-05-08 Golden in colour with white bubbly head, slightly floral nose and with a reasonable citrussy flavour, quite dry on the end, its ok but nothing to write home about.

Jul 28, 2007 Updated: Dec 6, 2007Tasting notes from 2002 Harbury Beer festival. Pale-Golden with thin head. Fruit, hops, and mild sweet malt aromas. Citrus, orange, grains, and malty flavours. Decent balance with dry hop finish. Cascade hops dominate.
