Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Plenty of roasted malts and rolled oats produce a rich and complex traditional stout with hints of liquorice. The bitter malty flavours are enhanced by a moderate bitterness and a rounded late hop aroma is provide by East Kent Goldings.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Reading Beer Festival.
Almost black with a slim beige film. Very earthy and roasty with lovely fruity malt. A little bit chalky and lacking a bit of condition by the time I got to it sadly. I’m sure this is better than this showing.

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.
Black color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate and licorice notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (030508)

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Northamptonshire BF. A black beer with a whitish head. The aroma has chocolate, caramel and toffee. The taste has bitter chocolate notes and alcohol. Roasty malts also. A pretty decent stout.

Cask conditioned at The Jolly Crispin, Upper Gornal, W.Midlands. Black with a bubbly cream head. Full bodied in yer face stout, rich and silky with heavy coffee notes and particularly dry and bitter. Flavours of licquorice and roasted husks continue right through the beer. A corker.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. A nice, balanced and tasty Stout. Quite creamy in the mouth and a pleasantly full flavour.
