The nose is straight-up acidic, acetic and vinous. Full-bodied with lackadaisical carbonation. Very acidic and acetic and fruity – cherries. Even at this warm temperature, the beer is still skull-fuckingly sour despite the sweet cherry component. Finishes tart and fruity. World class beer all-the-way! sebletitje (2000), Tampa, Florida, USA

aroma and flavor, yep, we have a sour bomb, palate has hints of peppery sourness possibly from the wood, mild cherry tartness with lingering vinegar acidic finish. bu11zeye (5698), Frisco, Texas, USA

Aroma of wood, barnyard, vinegar, florals, grass, and citrus. Flavor is damn funky! Wow! Vinous, citrus, and vinegar. Tongue raping acidity with a bone dry finish. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Nov 18, 2009 I had a few of these at FoBAB 2009, thanks to the recommendation of htsprint1’s wife. It poured a darkish amber body with little of any head. The aroma was strong with vinegar backed by sour cherries and unripe lemons, but it only hints at the face-puckering sourness in the flavor. Some folk have called this beer one dimensional, but I think they’ve mssed the fruit, hard wood, and the strangled malt, struggling for a stronger presence. This was poured from bottles at the festival, giving me a hope that I’ll be able to savor this again. drewbeerme (2315), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Mix this sour ale 50/50 with a good extra-virgin olive oil, and add a tablespoon of a fine dijon... and you’ve got yourself a fantastic salad dressing. (Somebody get me a bottle so I can actually try this, BTW) Huge sour tart, red wine vinegar flavors, wildly over the top and complex...with a very atringent and tart finish. Great sour ale on all counts!
