Served extra extra cold on draft. Unfortunate that it was so cold, awesome that it was on draft. First impression was very negative...almost Budweiserish. However, it improved significantly as it warmed up. I could really pick out the oats, wheat, and pilsener. Very little Belgian yeast character compared to most of the style, which was a bit of a disappointment. beerbuzzmontreal (2917), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 18, 2008 Pours a hazy golden color with lots of chunks snowing in the glass and a thick, rocky, white head. Strong presence of yeast in the aroma, there’s also some citrus and some cereal/grain. The flavor is very solid, there’s a fluffy presence of yeast, some sweetness, citrus and cereals. The body is medium with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. I like this beer and been drinking it for a while, I never got to rate it, but now the job is done. lumpsowers (252), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 18, 2008 Malty and sweet, lots of caramel and chocolate, nicely carbed. Still light enough that you don’t need to sit down to drink it. I loved this brew. kpresley77 (134), Jackson, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 16, 2008 Bottle courtesy of fonefan pours hazy golden with thick white head. Aroma is sweet dark fruit. First taste is sweet and strong carbonation burn. There is slight alcohol but it very well hidden and balanced. Some alcohol linger but pretty good tripel. jburns00 (1), Atlanta, Georgia, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 16, 2008 Excellent golden color, with just the right amount of alcohol to still be refreshing in the heat of summer, overall a very good tripel. green (187), Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Very clear, highly carbonated. Otherwise well balanced. Also slight lingering bitterness. MrChopin (666), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 9, 2008 Gold with a small white head. Soft, gentle nose of yeast, orange, pepper, real minor alcohol. Flavor is never aggressive like so many tripels, and instead is sweet and a little dusty with orange, pepper, and a nice, soft malt. A little sticky but quite refined, Karmeliet is a balanced, nuanced tripel. missing (72), Wichita, Kansas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 8, 2008 Poured a burnished golden orange with a slight (but thick) head. Hints of both orange peel and pepper. Smooth and malty with a dry peppery finish. Carbonation was perfect. Deceptively low alcohol notes. Overall, one of my favorites by style.
