A beautiful pour! Gold body with a very thick white head that lasts quite a while. Excellent lacing results from the foam. The aroma is light, but there’s some vanilla, spice, and malt noticeable. Very soft, smooth mouthfeel with mild carbonation. The flavor is complex. Malty sweetness with notes of honey and vanilla melds nicely to a warming alcohol finish. There is some sour citrus in the nice aftertaste. A very tasty brew.

Brought the 75cl bottle back from Belgium in Sept ’05, drank July ’07. Deep golden color with a orange tint. nice creamy head. Lacing afterwards. Sweet, fruity aroma with vanilla and spices. Very fragrant, somewhat flowery. Full malt taste. very rich. lots of fruit, tons of citrus. Amazingly malty. Sweet, but not overly so. Tangy. Superb balance. One of the best beers in the world. This beer was aged for 2-3 years. It was much more flavorful than the fresh beer, which is also great, but slightly lacking integration.

Pours gold with a a thick, lasting white head. Lots of lacing. Aroma is slightly hoppy and mild yeast. Flavor is mild banana and Belgian yeast with some earthy tones and spice. A unique tripel. Very smooth drinking with a slightly dry finish.

750ml Green bottle - nice printed label. White rocky/foamy head - a shade dark of straw color, mild lacing lots of bubbles. Noble hop flavor, spicy but not too strong, smooth, sweetish, honey, low bitterness, warming and strong. A fine beer but a little sweet for my tastes. I liked it better on tap.

This is extraordinary. Aroma is malt, oranges, apricots, and straw with a touch of spice and hops. A big long lasting head with tight bubbles. Balance is excellent with an incredible mouth feel. flavors of malt and fruit dominate without it being too spicy. A nice lingering sweet finish of fruit complemented by a slight hop flavor and grassy hint. Spices remain in the background as does the alcohol. This is one of my favorite ales period.

Bottle 33cl. Re-rate. Pours a clear golden colour with a huge head and good carbonation, too bad the head doesn’t last very long. Strong fruity aroma with some sweet and sour fruits there mixed in with th yeast. Taste is very pleasant, well balanced flavour of many different sweet fruits with a hint of the alcohol there too.
