May 21, 2008 on draft @ Maproom, Chicago. Great tripel. Pours a beautiful slightly cloudy blone with nice full fluffy head. Aromas of spice, fruit & citrus. Great creamy mouthfeel full of spice, light maltiness 7 sweetness. Very good beer

May 20, 2008 Sample at Aarhus beerfestival. Nice head with good duration. Color is pale golden. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruit and notes of citrus.

May 16, 2008 [330ml bottle from Sainsbury’s, Reading] ABV seems to vary - have seen it at 8% and 8.1%, but this bottle was 8.4%! Fresh herbal/ floral small with some malt. Very warming in the mouth - the alcohol certainly comes through. Taste is orange and coriander (both the herbal leaves and the spicey seeds come through seeds come through). There’s definitely something sweet and tropical in the background that I couldn’t quite pin down - maybe mango? Some pepper in there too, but the over-riding feeling is freshness, like an easily quaffable golden ale for the summer (a dangerous taste indeed given the strength!). Some slight bitterness in the aftertaste, along with more pepper and an odd syrupy mouthfeel that doesn’t quite work with the rest of the beer. Overall though this is top-notch stuff.

May 15, 2008 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a pale golden with a small foamy white head and fresh aroma of ripe citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with a sticky mouthfeel, bt very pleasant. A long sweet and spicey finish to round it off. I usually don’t like tripels, but this one rules!

May 14, 2008 Updated: May 15, 20080.33l bottle. Pours clear amber colour, with a good thick off white head which dissapears very quickly to leave it looking like cider!
Very drinkable fruity pale ale, spicy taste and a pleasant sour aftertaste with a mild hint of alcohol.
Very good beer.

May 14, 2008 750 ml corked bottle. into chalice.
Nice looking hazy wheat golden ale, with a lovelly large thick and bubbly white head.
Fantastic nose on this beer. all the usual Belgian style yeast, malts and spices but ampliphied. Very fruity, pink apples, red plums come to mind.
All the flavours mentioned in the nose are present a little banana and a tinge of alcohol added in the end.
Fantastic palate, great mouthfeel, smooth silky yet carbonated very well.
Very good beer. Will have again.
