Clear orange-gold with a creamy, lasting head. solid aroma of banana, yeast, spice, and alcohol. The flavor is spicy and yeasty with a lot of alcohol, which makes it pretty dry. I’m digging the dryness; makes it very drinkable. Medium body and smooth carbonation. This is very easy and nice to drink, Tripel isn’t my favorite abbey style, but this is pretty tasty. (3.7) rerate: Draught at The Trappist. Huge fruity pineapple any yeast aroma. Fruity yet dry flavor. This really stood out this time. Great beer. Arayaga2 (992), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 4, 2008 Golden and clear with minimal white head. Aroma is cidery sweet with a hint of spice. Intensely fizzy mouthfeel makes flavors hard to place. Perhaps this covers taste flaws. This product is really nothing special despite it ratings. jporter (2), Netherlands does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 4, 2008 Great tripel grain beer, best taste comes when drank in the original glass. White head with a beautiful golden base. I simply love this beer with its nice fruity taste. The beer tastes quite light aswell! | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of Belgian yeasts, wheat, banana, spices, some faint apple and pear in the background as it warms. For me, the palate was a spice bomb. The base brew, while strong and solid in the mouth, objectively well constructed, lacked any real character for me. Instead, unearthly amounts of spices were added to give it some flavor. Maybe the spices covered up whatever flavor there was under there, but all I got out of it was a pretty bland beer loaded with spice. Not bad, surely, not weak at all or anything, but nothing stunning. smith4498 (921), Miami, Florida, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 1, 2008 Pours a clear golden yellow with off white head. Strong aromas of Belgian yeast and bananas. Sweet malty flavor with a hoppy finish. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. One of the best tripels I have tasted. Excellent! LilBeerDoctor (1530), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours a murky yellow with a fairly sizeable white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, some light fruits (apple, pear, citrus). Tastes of Belgian yeast, spices, and wheat. Strong mouthfeel, but I felt that the taste was one dimensional. I didn’t really care for this one. YK23 (271), Haifa, Israel
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 29, 2008 Updated: Mar 1, 2008Bottle: the aroma is both yeasty, spicy and herbal, freshly ground black peper, sage, mint, coriander, cardboard, strawberry flavored bubble gum, some hay, very complex on that department, flavor wise it’s malty sweet(banana like) with some herbal hops, weak alcohol notes, weak vinous notes and a nice dry finish, the overall flavor is quite delicate and quite simple compared to the aroma, it’s an easy drinking medium bodied nice triple. rodgers004 (26), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2008 Beautiful clear golden color, smallish white head. Good, but not amazing. I’d almost characterize it as a light tripel, with a crisp finish.
