Has some mild cherry tartness, but is lightly roasted and overall pretty bland. Could use a fuller flavor and thicker body, with more of a fruity balance. Still, a novel idea. Nose of fresh cherries & spice. Tastes roasty before the cherry hits with a light tannic dry note with a sweet tail from the cherry. Dusty finish, decent cherry stouts but lacks the body & finish that this style deserves. ¾ (5006), Oregon, USA

Deep, deep red/brown hue. Flavor is disappointing, basically because this should not taste like a black cherry soda. If the black cherry flavors were more subtle, I think I would enjoy it more. It's just too much, and the expected and desired stout characteristics are sacrificed. Ultimately too thin and too much cherries. I appreciate the effort, though.
