Black and rich on the palate with fruity cherry aroma and flavour. Slightly dry coffee roast finish.

Some roast aroma. Beige head. Black hoppy and fruity cherry flavour with a little bitterness in a crisp and dry finish.

Feb 7, 2006 Very Berry Cherry Nice flavor balance with the malt and fruit. A TAD light but better to drink more when playing black jack. Medium Body with a nice finish

Oct 3, 2005 dark color w/ a tall reverse cascading tan head and great lacing. 1st scent is black cherry coolaid w/ a nice roasted malt sweet smell. Avg pal good carb. Flavor is an odd tart cherry a weak bitter and fairly light. Smelled sooo good then it all went down from there.

May 24, 2005 looked like a stout smelled like cherries....comes up a bit weak and thin. needs bigger better stout choc feel and probably less amt of cherry ext to contend...has potential but is lacking.

Oct 11, 2004 GABF 2004: Dark opaque body has a dark tan head. Interesting cherry soy sauce aroma. Has some mild cherry tartness, but is lightly roasted and overall pretty bland. Could use a fuller flavor and thicker body, with more of a fruity balance. Still, a novel idea.

Black, tan head. Nose of fresh cherries & spice. Tastes roasty before the cherry hits with a light tannic dry note with a sweet tail from the cherry. Dusty finish, decent cherry stouts but lacks the body & finish that this style deserves.

Sep 29, 2003 Overwhelmingly sweet black cherries in the aroma. It's quite nice though. Deep, deep red/brown hue. Flavor is disappointing, basically because this should not taste like a black cherry soda. If the black cherry flavors were more subtle, I think I would enjoy it more. It's just too much, and the expected and desired stout characteristics are sacrificed. Ultimately too thin and too much cherries. I appreciate the effort, though.
