Light amber/copper colour. honey and hoppy flavour. above avarage Rune (1809), Tromsø, Norway Sep 2, 2008 Overall champion beer of Britain 08 – and winner of the Bitter category. Draught, tutored tasting with Roger Protz at GBBF. Clear, copper-bronze body. Missing head. Malty to the nose. Bitter spicy hops in flavour balanced by biscuit malts. Dry bitter tail. Maybe slightly over the average of bitter British ales (06.08.208). Svesse (1811), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 23, 2008 (Cask at GBBF, London, 6 Aug 2008) Copper colour with brief, white head. Malty, fruity nose with apricots and earthy, dusty hops. Fruity taste with notes of apricots, orange and generous doses of earthy hops in a fairly bitter finish. Solid malt foundation. Fairly dry. Probably not the best beer in Britain, but still nice. Ethereal (927), London, Greater London, England Aug 9, 2008 Cask at GBBF 08. Clear amber. Not too hoppy or flavoursome on the nose or at first sip, but it then delivers a fantastic nutty finish and aftertaste. Very nice. daniele (830), Italy Aug 7, 2008 oro intenso florale luppolo discreto malto leggera maltatura poi amaro da luppolo persistente buona aromaticità
