Cask at the Royal Oak Beer Festival, Oakley, Bucks/Oxon border 03-05-08 Classic amber colour with a thin white bubbly head and a slight haze. Soft treacleness leads to a very rich full flavoured beer, really yummy, loads of malts and sweet dark molassess and even some hops in the background, I liked this but it might be a bit sweet for some.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. Hazy deep brown colour with lasting beige head. Getting towards the end of the barrel I fear. Bit rubbery on aroma. Probably needs a re-rate. But condition is good and flavour is a bit earthy.

Cask conditioned @ Standing order (JDW), Soton. Sweet malts with a fruity edge and biscuity caramel. Tasty but not really my thing.

Cask at Bristol beer festival. Smells like old socks. That said, the mouthfeel is very smooth and the flavour is rich with a sweet, raisin finish. A bit tangy on the palate. Good.
