JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium Jan 26, 2006 Pretty aged bottle Clear pale amber; small but firm off-white head. Nutty nose, sweet, raisins, peaches and a little dash of portwine, very inviting. Nutty taste, biscuit and caramel, sultana’s; ends on a fruity note as of (old) citrus peel & sucade . In the MF, the oxidation has taken the most of the toll: thin, but alcoholic. Carbonation, however, is still 5/5. Very nicely aged, fruity, unfortunately a bit thinnish. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 23, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) It’s really hard to get to this beer. The huge, rocky head completely covers the fluid requiring a lot of the patience of the drinker. But this Triple appears nicely golden - when you finally get to see it. Very neutral nose and a prickly sensation in the mouth from lots of carbonation - too much. Slightly spicy and a touch of iron in the palate. Not the most thrilling Triple. 180294 aspidites (1268), manteca, California, USA Mar 11, 2005 somewhat sweet candy sugar based malt with atouch of Oranges and apricots in the nose. lite spice allspice and very lite ginger. Good conditioning pillowy head. Some hop presence overridden by the candy sugar sweetness. Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 28, 2004 A hazy orange beer with a small head. The aroma is sweet with notes of oranges and peach. The flavor is sweet with notes of peach. Kåstå (1144), Mol, Belgium Apr 27, 2003 Updated: Apr 1, 2004I had this vintage beer at the Kulminator in Antwerpen. The best before date was 1995. Golden copper coloured with a small head. Vinous and slightly malty aroma. The taste is very vinous due to the aging. Otherwise it has a very light malt taste with a mild more hoppy and bitter finish.
