I think I like the over hopped amber versions a little better lately. Sampled @ the Princeton location. Adam77 (409), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 15, 2009 Tap at Philly location. Aroma of perfumy hops, bready malt. Flavor the same, though sweeter, and I even thought I got some alcohol despite the 4.9% abv. Despite this oddity, quite a tasty amber. LilBeerDoctor (1530), East Setauket, New York, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Nov 21, 2008 Triumph Amber Ale 11/16/08 (on tap, at Brewery. Pours light red, with a smallish head. Aroma is light, with some sweetness and flowers in the background. Flavor was firstly sweet, but not overpowering. Blended with a subtle hop touch, this struck me as Triumph’s best use of subtle hopping of all their offerings I’ve tried. The palate was also crisp and light enough to be enjoyed as a session beer, which is how I treated it while eating one of Triumph’s deliciously oversized burgers.
