| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Sample at the Princeton location: This beer pours a clear orangish-amber color with a medium thin light beige head that has fair retention. Thin rings of lacing. The aroma is mostly malty with some bread and floral hops. Medium, smooth body with a nice sweet malty character. The sweetness is imbued with an earthiness and woodiness that prevents it from becoming one-dimensional. Caramel and hops are present as well. The finish is clean and toasty with a lingering malt. Rather than going the safe Killian’s route as many brewpubs do, this beer is both flavorful and drinkable. Aurelius (2654), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
