Inviting citrus scent. Excellent balance of malt and hoppy florality (is that a word?). Excellent beer! beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA

Not offensive, excellent color. Makes your eyes sparkle as you put down the glass. (Later note: After having this at New Hope, I'm amazed at the difference in tastes depending on location. I guess because of different aquafiers? Just amazes me, the uniqueness of the style of beer. Like taking clay from different shoals and crafting it into art... sort of.) Pours to a beautiful, bright, deep amber color, with a thick and creamy, white head, and a moderate amount of carbonation. The nose is fragrant with lots of good citrus, and pine aroma, paired with some sweet and stewed malt aroma. Palate is firm, with good sweet malt, pale malt, caramel, and estery/juicy fruit flavors. This beer finishes with good sweet malt and fruit flavor up front, then ends with some zesty pine and citrus hop bitterness that lingers on the tongue. Good balance of hops and sweet/caramel malt aromas and flavors. This is a great example of an amber ale, and makes for a nice pint at the bar in New Hope. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

This is one of Triumphs standard taps.
Hops dominate up front, but finishes with just enough malt sweetness to keep you coming back to it.

Their booth employees were super friendly (one of the ladies even lent me her glass so I could share their imperial stout with an Ortleib’s buddy). Don’t get me wrong, it’s all about the beer, and man did Triumph deliver big time! This draft amber ale poured dark amber, with a great head and lacing. Nice hop, malt, and brown sugar aroma. Tastes malty, sweet, with a finish of caramel and nice hoppiness. Very complex. Marvelous beer. One of my favorite ambers. DeadGuyFrank (347), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA
