On tap at the Downtown Philly location. Poured a deep golden color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of bread, toasted malts, and fruity. Tastes of fruitiness, toasted bread, and caramel. Light alcohol in the finish.

GABF 2006. Caramel colored. Small off white head. Nose is malty with caramel notes, some light fruit, and soft alcohol. Taste is chewy malts, more caramel, ripe fruits, cocoa and some toasty notes. Body is medium. Moderate carbonation. Finishes with more caramel, chewy malts, fruit and cocoa. Some alcohol emerging here as well.

Had this at the Princeton Triumph. Yellow orangy in color. Malty aroma. Lingering malt flavor. Pretty good. Little fruityness to it. Good.

On tap at the Philly location. Nice amber-gold color with a medium head. Aroma is a nice sweet toasty-malt that has some light fruit in there. Flavor is a sweet, bready, fruit mix with a bit of hops in there. Nice feel. Pretty good D-Bock.

Snifter. Yellow tinted orange, very slight head. Slight haze. Nose of alcohol and seemed a bit fruity, with malty undertones. Malty brew backed up with alcohol, but not overly so. Long, lingering malt flavor. OK, but not worth going out of your way.

Tap at Philly brewpub. Clear amber/orange with a smallish head. Taste was caramel malts, brown sugar and some cherry and plum fruits. Spicy hops seemed to really pick this beer up. I thought the alcohol was well hidden, but some people (like the bartender) disagreed. Still, it’s a winner.

From the New Hope location, and orange colored hazy appearance, nice malt aroma, flavor was very full, with the hops and malts each coming through at different times. Aftertaste was a little more bitter than I expected, and that stayed on your tounge far a while.
