Commercial Description:
About a hundred and fifty years ago a new style of beer, the granddaddy of clear pale lagers, arose in the Bohemian town of Pilsen. To get that authentic Old World taste, we use genuine Saaz hops imported from the Czech Republic.

Hay, honey, and some stony minerality in the flavor, with an abundance of crisp spicy Saaz. Perfect balance of sourdough and sugar. Incredibly fresh aroma, all hoppiness and fresh bread, grassy!! Body a bit oily (still too cold for the full slipperiness to come through) and crisp, too. Just lovely. Super clear golden pour, little bit of a lingering head. A great beer, expertly (and completely full - no oxygen) handbottled by hophead75!

Draft->juice glass (tasting@brewery): Pours a small, diminishing head that exhibits excellent lacing atop a clear light yellow body. The aroma is of flowers. The flavor’s duration is short and lightly acidic and perhaps mineral-y. The body is light, the texture is oily, soft carbo, and an astringent finish. Perhaps some soapiness in there as well--not much aroma or I’da otherwise prolly given this a higher rating. I’ve marked this for re-rating for when I get to drink it from the proper glass.

Thin frothy head. Decent carbonation. Weak aroma with a little floral hops. Pale gold in color. Light corn flavor. Dry and bitter. Little bit pasty. Some rice cereal also. All together grainy. A hint of lemon. Dry bitter finish with more lingering lemon. Decent brew.

Light golden color with white head. Grainy aroma. Thick (for a pils) malt base with nice use of hops. Thicker than most in the style. Stacks up well with the best American interpretations of Pils that I’ve had. Nice one!

On tap, Princeton. Yellow/gold color, with a white head. Spice, malt, and hops in the aroma and flavor. Body is heavier than expected.

Tap at P-town. A very well made czech pils all around. Pours a crystal clear light gold sparklling carbonation and a frothy white head and nice lace. Aroma is very spicy and herbal with tons of saaz hops with a nice full malty bready backbone. More spice in the flavor with the pils malts and a somewhat startling sharp hop bitterness. Overall this is a great pils- very hoppy, but still delicious.
