Smoky, strong C-hop nose, dark amber with a lovely creamy, lasting head. Smooth, maltier than their IPA and with a beautifully balanced lemony-wet piney hop presence throughout. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2005 Strong fruity esters are berry like and play well with the citrus hops in the aroma. Clear golden body is topped by a low but lasting, bright, white head that laces nicely. Moderately bitter up front with a light grainy malt note, some berrylike esters and leafy, herbal character. Light body with lively, crisp carbonation. Sampled at GABF 2005. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2007 Tap @ Triumph Philly. Poured a clear copper color with a white head. Earthy and sweaty hops made up the aroma. The flavor had a caramel malt start then a fairly large amount of hops in the middle. The caramel came back at the finish along with a mild bitterness. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2006 New Hope. Pours a nice medium amber, moslty clear and a lasting off white head. Aroma is citrusy, with light pine and orange notes and a crisp sweet malt backbone. Flavor is smooth and lightly sweet upfront but then the citrus hops finish off with a nice clean crisp bitterness. A bit more malt than expected, which held up nice against the fruity and citrus hops. Nice APA. willblake (2189), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

I wasn’t hoping for much from this beer, just another brewpub APA, I figured. Golden-amber color with little head. C-hop aromas, orange, light pine. Flavors are decidedly mixed between orange and some pine, not very well integrated but present. Big, full mouthfeel. Slightly dry finish, but not as much as expected. Very tasty and quaffable overall. Certainly has the typical Triumph stamp yet made me nostalgic for the great APAs of the PNW.
