| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 27, 2006 Triumph Princeton on draft. Pours dark brown with nice off white head that laces all the way down the glass. Faint aroma of coffee grounds. The flavor worth of it’s title, coffee (mild) and light cream. Not too heavy mouthfeel, but still full flavored. What I liked that is that you could drink more than one of these, but still get a lot of flavor. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 25, 2006 On draft at New Hope location. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma of coffee, roast, and chocolate. Flavor is sweet, coffee, roast, slight dry hop finish. Good body, good brew. Dickinsonbeer (3490), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 26, 2006 Triumph New Hope. Nitro pour. Nice pure black with a thick lasting smooth off white creamy head and awesome lace. Aroma is initially a decent amount of coffee, but then fades away and more chocolate malts and a light sugary sweetness is noticed. Flavor was a bit light, but had some coffee, chocolate, light toffee, lgiht caramel and a bit sweet, but finished kinda dry and weak. Smooth though. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 24, 2006 Sampled on draught at the New Hope, PA location. I was really impressed with this one. Poured from nitro, this beer pours to a jet black color, with a thick, dense, creamy, tan head, and a soft to moderate amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is excellent, with lots of big aromas of sweet malt, dark chocolate, coffee, and mild roast. The palate is rich and creamy on the tongue, with lots of good dark chocolate, sweet malt, and coffee flavors. This beer finishes with more chocolate, coffee flavors up front, then ends just enough mild roast and mild bitterness to balance out the chocolate character of this beer. Excellent sweet stout, with delicious aromas, and flavors. A great beer to match with a desert, or to enjoy as an after dinner beer. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 22, 2006 Triumph New Hope. Nitro-cascade produces a creamy, sandy-tan head on a very dark brown body. Appealing aroma of coffee candy, light roast, and sweet dark chocolate. Flavor leads with caramel and then coffee. Medium-high lactose sweetness. Balancing light hop and roast bitterness emerge. Pleasant and lingering flavor. Medium body with a lightly carbonated mouthfeel. A decent dessert stout. AdamSkillin (376), High Bridge, New Jersey, USA

Very strong coffee flavors, very creamy and chocolatey. Similar to Guinness in kind of weak, thin mouthfeel. Taste is very well done though, very mellow, a nice lingering finish almost exactly like coffee.
