Commercial Description:
A hybrid style created by crossing our coffee stout with milk stout. Adding unfermentable milk sugar (lactose) in the kettle results in a texture that is rich, chewy and, quite literally, creamy.

This beer was so good when I had it in 2003 that I was sadened that I could not get a growler of it to go. A year later after speaking with one of the Brewers at the New Hope brewery I was able to arrange for a half keg to go. I considered it to be well worth the 1,000 plus bucks I spent for the meister and components required to serve this fantastic beer at home!

This stout is very good. The mixture of the coffee roast and the cream is great. Dark in color with the taste of a cappucino. Had it at the brewery and at a festival where it won first prize. Pleasant to drink. Little hop character.

Sampled on draught at the New Hope, PA location. I was really impressed with this one. Poured from nitro, this beer pours to a jet black color, with a thick, dense, creamy, tan head, and a soft to moderate amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is excellent, with lots of big aromas of sweet malt, dark chocolate, coffee, and mild roast. The palate is rich and creamy on the tongue, with lots of good dark chocolate, sweet malt, and coffee flavors. This beer finishes with more chocolate, coffee flavors up front, then ends just enough mild roast and mild bitterness to balance out the chocolate character of this beer. Excellent sweet stout, with delicious aromas, and flavors. A great beer to match with a desert, or to enjoy as an after dinner beer.

First time I tried this beer was as part of a sampler of Triumph’s brews. I’d gotten through four decent beers when I tasted this gem! Excellent, subtle coffee aroma. Very creamy, white head. Tasting this beer was an "experience" for me!! I’ve been back with my dad several times. One of my favorite stouts

I. Love. Triumph. Listed on the board at New Hope as being 6% abv, not 4.6% This was a spectacular stout. Best non-imperial stout I’ve had in a while....actually probably the only non-imperial stout I’ve had in awhile but who cares, this was so good. Delicious delicious get a growler. Cowboy light your fire

rerate Very dark pour, the head was just right on this gem. Immediately smelled the coffee/chocolate aroma. This is my 3rd or 4th time tasting it on tap at Triumph, one of the better ones. A lactic/milky sour taste in the finish, hence the name coffee and cream stout. Great reason to visit the brewery.
