A head which held to the bottom of the glass. A strong malt flavor was followed by a big hop hit. Full bodied flavor with a lingering hop aftertaste. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 1, 2007 Hand pump at New Hope. Clear amber body and sudsy, dirty white head. Nice distinct stonefruit and spice hop profile, plus fruit and nut malt signatures. Pleasant toasted maltiness in the flavor, which is semi-sweet with late hop character and medium bitterness. Clean and highly quaffable ESB.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 18, 2007 Out of the cask at the brewpub, served at cellar temp. The appearance was a nice brownish amber color, unfiltered, and with a solid cream white head. The aroma was mostly filled with hops, but little other character could be detected. The flavor was nicely balanced with a strong Goldings hop character and just enough caramel malt character to combat it. The head had fabulous retention and contributed to a nice, smooth, creamy mouthfeel. This is the first cask beer that I have tried and I have to say that I liked it a fair amount. Very solid beer from Triumph. jason (1626), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 19, 2006 Handpump at the brewpub. No aroma but great look. Left a heafty head on it and stayed until the end. Decent flavor and really well balanced. Not enough bitterness. Good brew.
