The Lure: Resinous hops merge with their citrusy companions. A dry wooden character thrives within, this is apparently a jovial hop party.
The Festivities: A nagging back hoppiness recalls licking a hop pellet. A little too harsh for a bitter which doesn’t have any malt flavors to speak of. This is full of green, leafy, and soapy hop personalities which get along well until they crash into that screeching, astringent bitterness.
Transcendence: Raking the leaves off the lawn, and pressing a little too hard. Rastacouere (5555), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Served very warm, it bursts with soapiness in the nose, but the citric orangey and earthy fuggles? manage to slice through with ease, unlike the lacking malts. The final result is inevitable, there is no sweetness to tame the astringency. Very hoppy example, medium bodied with smooth, slow soft carbonation. willblake (2179), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Yum! sweet and floral aromas dance atop beds of lightly toasted malts, dry caramel, apricot, mineral hints. Earth juice. This beers aromas and flavors are near impossible to distinguish seperately. Glad I finally got a rateable sample of this excellent brew. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA

Poured cloudy amber with a very good head. The head had great rentention. Good aroma with apricot, citrus, graitfruit, flower, plus just a good maltiness. The taste was bitter but not overdone. The balance was the aspect that pleased me the most. Good. Jine (896), Nutley, New Jersey, USA

Thought I had actually rated this already but no, just realized I did not.

I was at the brewpub during the release of their Marzen, which I prefered, so that kind of ruined my sampling of this one. NJBeerman013 (778), Trenton, New Jersey, USA
