RateBeer Rating, Style and Glass: not enough ratings (I’m #8) traditional ale, mug, pint, stein, yard ABV, Volume & Calories: 5.1 % in 16 fl oz. estimated at 175 C Purchased at: on tap at Triumph in Princeton for $5 with good friend Sean Piotrowski after his last day at Rider. Aroma: fruity, banana, alluring. 9 out of 10. Visuals: cloudy, dense, yellow, white persistent head, nice lacing. 5 out of 5. Taste: sweet, banana, citrus, orange. 9 out of 10. Palate: salty, granular, strong finish. 4 out of 5. Overall: It was essentially a hefeweizen, but a very nice, slightly stylized rendition. Second only to their IPA, IMO. A very well crafted ale. 18 out of 20.

Growler, shared by willblake, not dickinosbeer. I’m pretty sure. Thanks Jon. This was really tasty. Very fresh tasting with notes of floral and citrus, a little salt, and some nice wheat. One of my favorites (and it seems others agree) of the weekend.

Growler, sampled at the 1st Annual Shenandoah Beer Throwdown, courtesy of willblake. Thanks, Jon! Pours a hazy, whitish-copper color; creamy white head with glistening, fine-bubbled lacing; nice pour. Very pleasant, crisp nose; wheatiness, light citrus, salt; salty, dry husks; really nice nose; plenty of floral / vegetal notes mixed in. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of wheat, citrus (light, low acidity), and toasty grains; light saltiness; incredibly drinkable, dry, crisp, and pleasantly integrated; great rendition. Medium finish: toasted grains, wheaty husks, citrus, and bread; nicely dry end. Really excellent stuff.

Growler from Princeton! Pours an insanely cloudy opaque golden yellow- light creamsickle color with a massive tight white head and really good lace. Aroma has a nice salty yeastiness to it- light on the coriander which is great, yeasty doughines, wheat malt, cracker, cream of wheat, play-dough and fresh sea foam at the ocean. As it warms some sulfury german yeast character comes through. Flavor is doughy, crackery wheat malts, light citrusy and grassy coriander, almost orange peel like, with a light salt character, lemon juice and a light tartness in the finish- body is smooth and overall is very refreshing. Great interpretation on the style- Id say better than Dollnitzer Ritterguts even, and is considerably better than Bayerishe Bahnhof. Cheers to Triumph for making a crazy awesome rare style!

Growler courtesy of beastiefan2k via puzzl. Very hazy/cloudy appearance within a deep yellow beer topped by a thick sticky white head. Aroma is quite rich and sweet, marshmallow, clove and banana with an unusually sweet wheaty aroma. Unctuous mouthfeel... really creamy and silky. Coats the mouth in thick bready wheatiness which is then quickly cleaned away by a soft lactic/citrusy tartness on the back of the palate. Sweet and just lightly salty which seems to amplify the wheaty/spicy flavour. Very juicy and rich. Really great tasting brew. It has a definite hefeweizen quality to it, but it’s also got it’s own unique sort of thing going on as well. Very yeasty, wheaty and fruity. Really tasty brew.

On tap at Princeton. Very hazy (almost opaque) blonde in color with a medium large white head. Very nice aroma: banana, wheat, coriander, light salt, and a touch of honey. Taste: banana, with bread and yeast, salt, tangy wheat, and light notes of citrus and coriander. Medium bodied, all aspects of this seem well integrated and bright. This is my first Gose, and I thought it was awesome.

Thanks a ton to dickinsonbeer on thinking of me on this gem! Pours opaque amber with a nice white head. Smells of mineral water, bananas, coriander, some sweet malt, touches of yeast. Tastes lactic and sweet citrissy with some tarte hints, some doughy touches, and a hint of sourness on the finish. Very enjoyable!

Cloudy yellow wheat colored body with a white head. Spicy coriander, muddled wheat and rye and some salty crackers in the nose. Smooth but moderately thick texture, the wheat is chewy, chunky and muddy, and the salty cracker quality is surprising. Very smooth with a medium to full body, bright, smooth, wheat-heavy, dry, chewy, and overall just very delicious.
