Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Feb 5, 2009 Gravity Firkin at P-town. Pours a nice deep copper with a thinning film of a head. Aroma is funky and bretty- mostly farmhouse funk and horseblanket and low on the troical fruits, yet still has a somehwat sweet aroma as well. Flavor still has some sweetness left, as the Brett has just been getting started- good cobwebby dusty farmhouse funk, horsey and a bit cheesy with a herbal hop note which turns a bit bitter astringent. Pretty good but needs way more time in the barrel I think. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jan 26, 2009 firkin-pours a creamy retaining thin white head that laces and amber color. Aroma is sour/tart fruit, vinegar, medium malt. Taste is sour/tart fruit-caramel apple, vinegar, medium malt, oak-wood, alcohol. Nice representation of style, although not my style.
